Ketoart Tablet are a nutritional supplement with an active ingredient called Alpha Ketoanalogue. It is part of the category of medicines called amino acids. It is prescribed in conjunction with a protein-restricted diet to prevent the development of chronic kidney diseases (CKD). It helps reduce uraemic symptoms (caused through the build-up of nitrogenous waste products, which are typically eliminated by kidneys), improves nutritional status, and helps mitigate metabolic problems among CKD patients. It does this by lowering blood levels of urea and reducing the progression of the kidney condition, thus slowing the long-term dialysis requirement.
Do not take Ketoart tablets if intolerant to Alpha Ketoanalogue or its components. Avoid taking this medicine in the event of hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium) or irregular heartbeats due to the fact that the administration of this medication may result in higher levels of calcium in the blood and may cause irregular heartbeats. When you’re taking the treatment, your doctor might recommend regularly checking the calcium levels in your blood and informing your doctor if you are breastfeeding or pregnant before taking this medication.
