Renchek tablet can be described as a nutritional supplement with an active ingredient called Alpha Ketoanalogue. It is a member of the category of medicines known as amino acids. It is prescribed in conjunction with a protein-restricted diet to prevent the development of chronic kidney disease (CKD). It helps reduce uraemic symptoms (caused through the build-up of nitrogenous waste products, typically eliminated by the kidneys), improves nutritional status, and decreases metabolic issues among CKD patients. It does this by lowering blood urea levels and slowing the progress of the kidney condition, delaying the necessity for dialysis over a long time.
Do not take the Renchek tablet if sensitive to Alpha Ketoanalogue or any of its components. Avoid taking this medicine in the event of hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium) or irregular heartbeats since this medication could cause higher calcium levels in the blood and may cause irregular heartbeats. While you are taking treatment, your physician might recommend regular examination of calcium levels in your blood. They are informing your doctor that you are breastfeeding or pregnant before starting this medication.
