SEVHOLD 400MG TABLET

Sevhold 400mg tablets contain an active ingredient known as Sevelamer. It is part of the class known as phosphate binding agents. It is used to treat hyperphosphatemia (high blood levels of phosphate) in adults undergoing dialysis (hemodialysis or dialysis in the peritoneal region) and patients suffering from chronic kidney diseases who have elevated levels of phosphorus in their serum. It should be combined with other treatments, like vitamin D and calcium supplements, to help prevent bone diseases. A high level of blood phosphorus can cause calcification. This is when hard deposits develop and make blood vessels stiffer, affecting blood flow.
Don’t consume Sevhold 400 mg tablet if you suffer from an allergic reaction to Sevelamer or any of the components found in the medicine. Do not consume this medication in case you suffer from an insufficient amount of phosphate as well as obstruction of the bowel. Before you start taking this medication, inform your physician if you’re expecting, are planning to become pregnant, or suspect that you are expecting or nursing. Before beginning the treatment plan, tell your physician if you are having difficulty swallowing or if your stomach or bowels have issues moving food.
Inform your physician if you suffer from bowel pain or have been through a significant bowel surgery or stomach surgery. Sevhold 400mg tablets are not recommended for children younger than six years old due to the absence of research on the safety and effectiveness of this medication in this age group. If your physician has informed you of a sugar intolerance, be sure to consult with your physician before taking this medication because it contains lactose.
