Stelara 90mg Injection is a source of the active ingredient Ustekinumab—this monoclonal antigen belongs to the category of drugs known as interleukin inhibitors. Monoclonal antibodies are proteins that recognize and bind to specific proteins within the body. They treat moderate to extreme plaque psoriasis (a skin condition that causes the appearance of scaly and red patches in certain body parts). It can be used by itself or with other medications to combat the active form of psoriatic arthritis (a condition that results in joint swelling, pain, and skin scales) for adults.
Stelara 90mg injection is recommended for the treatment of mild to extreme Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative Colitis among adults. These are both inflammatory bowel disorders. The condition is known as Crohn’s Disease. It occurs when the body fights the digestive tract’s lining and causes abdominal discomfort, weight loss, diarrhea, and high fever. Ulcerative Colitis is a disease that causes sores and swelling in the lining of your colon (large intestine) and the rectum. It is not recommended to take this medication if you are breastfeeding or pregnant.
Take care not to take Stelara 90 mg Injection if you are allergic to Ustekinumab or any other ingredient of this medication. Don’t take this medication when you have active illnesses. Inform your physician if you’ve recently suffered from tuberculosis, skin disorders, allergies, or any other ailments. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other treatments for psoriasis or arthritis. This medication is not recommended for children younger than 18 years of age who have Crohn’s disease or ulcerative Colitis.
