Synvisc One injections are derived from hyaluronan. It is a sodium salt of the hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronan is an ingredient in synovial fluid. It is a fluid that helps reduce viscosity in joints and aids mobility. Synvisc is a one-injection polymer A&BG-F 20, an intra-articular injection for patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis. It helps to reduce the discomfort and pain that comes with knee injuries through a temporary replacement for synovial fluid. This is beneficial for patients who utilize the knee affected often. It can be taken by itself or in conjunction with other medications. Avoid taking this medication if you’re sensitive to Proteolytic or its components.
Inform your doctor if you are expecting, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding prior to starting this medication. Before you start taking this medication, discuss with your doctor any medications you’ve been taking recently in addition to herbal remedies. Inform your doctor if you suffer from knee joint inflammation as well as skin diseases or infections at the site of injection or if you suffer from systemic bleeding disorders. Prior to receiving Synvisc, inform your doctor whether you suffer from severe knee pain and lymphatic or venous stasis (swollen or inflamed) in the leg being injected or the condition known as chondrocalcinosis (presence of CPP (calcium dihydrate pyrophosphate) crystals within and around joints).
