Rituxipan, the active ingredient in Rituxipan 100 mg injection , is contained within this product. It is used to treat several diseases in adults. It can be used with or without other medications to treat non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer that affects white blood cells known as B-lymphocytes. In adults, it is indicated for treating moderate to severe rheumatoid (a disease in which the immune system attacks its body cells) when combined with methotrexate. Also, granulomatosis polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis are used to treat adults and children older than two years old with inflammation of blood vessels. It can also treat mild to moderate pemphigus (a condition that results in painful blisters of the skin, lining, nose and genitals).
Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody that belongs to a class of drugs called anti-CD20 monoclonal. This injection should not be taken if you have an allergy to any of its ingredients, a weak immune function, or a severe infection. Before starting the treatment, tell your doctor if you suffer from heart disease, heart failure or breathing issues. Speak to your doctor if the infection has ever been severe. In some cases, it can reactivate. This injection is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Rituxipan 100 mg injections can cause side effects such as infection of the blood or reduced red blood cell count, dizziness and swelling of the face and the body, itchy and dry skin, diarrhea and high blood pressure. If you are pregnant, use effective contraception during treatment and for 12 months following the last dose. This medication may cause severe infusion reactions during or within 24 hours after administration. Infusion reactions such as chest pain, headaches, breathing problems, vomiting, skin irritations, or swelling of the throat or skin should be reported to your doctor or healthcare professional.
