VALCIP 450MG TABLET

Valcip  450 mg Tablet is an Antiviral with an active ingredient known as Valganciclovir. It is part of the class known as Antiviral (Non-HIV) medications. Valganciclovir is transformed into Ganciclovir upon entering the body and works to combat viral infections. The drug is prescribed to combat Cytomegalovirus (CMV) conditions in the eyes’ retina in people suffering from Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Cytomegalovirus infections can cause vision issues and even blindness. It also prevents Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections in people who have received organ transplants from a person infected with CMV in children and adults.
Don’t take this medicine if you are allergic to Valganciclovir Ganciclovir and its additional components. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from decreased blood cell counts ( WBC, RBC, Platelet). Inform your physician if you had any hemodialysis or radiotherapy (a treatment that removes waste and water from the blood) or any other issues affecting your kidney. Inform your doctor if you are expecting or planning to become pregnant. Utilize effective contraception throughout and even after treatment. Women should use contraceptives for 30 days, while men should utilize condoms for 90 days between and following treatment. Talk to your doctor about any fertility issues. A dose adjustment for Valcip 450 mg tablet may be recommended if you have kidney issues. Your physician may periodically take the blood test to measure the blood count while taking the tablet.
