CYMGAL 450MG TABLET

Cymgal 450 mg tablet is an Antiviral that contains Valganciclovir, an active ingredient. It is part of the group referred to by Antiviral (Non-HIV) medications. Valganciclovir is transformed into Ganciclovir once it enters the body. It works to combat viral infections. The drug is prescribed to combat Cytomegalovirus (CMV) diseases that affect the retina for adults who suffer from Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Cytomegalovirus can lead to vision issues and blindness. It also prevents Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections in children and adults who have received an organ transplant from someone infected by CMV.
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to the Valganciclovir drug, Ganciclovir, or its additional components. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from decreased blood cell counts ( WBC, RBC, Platelet). Inform your physician if you had any form of radiotherapy or hemodialysis (a treatment that removes the wastes and fluids out of the blood) or have any other issues related to your kidney. Inform your doctor if you are expecting or planning to become pregnant. Make sure you are using effective contraception during and after treatment. Women should use contraception for 30 days, while males should utilize condoms for 90 days following the treatment. Talk to your doctor about additional fertility issues. An adjustment in dosage of Cymgal 450mg tablets is recommended if you have kidney issues. The doctor will periodically conduct the blood test to check the blood count when you are taking this tablet.
