Mofecon S 180 mg tablet is an immunosuppressant that contains an active ingredient named Mycophenolate sodium. It is a member of the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. The medicine is prescribed to avoid organ rejection in patients who have had the organs of a donor (such as heart, kidney, or even liver transplantation). It is often prescribed as part of a combination treatment, which includes other immunosuppressive medications.
The use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy because of the possibility of miscarriage and congenital disabilities. It is not recommended during pregnancy unless there are no other suitable alternatives and the possible advantages outweigh the risks. Women with a reproductive capacity are strongly advised to use the most effective contraception available while using this tablet to prevent the possibility of pregnancy. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient is on Mofecon S 180mg tablet due to a decrease in the vaccine’s effectiveness and the risk of getting ill. People taking this drug must not give blood during treatment and, at minimum, six weeks after stopping treatment. This ensures that the drug has been completely removed from the body before giving blood.
It is usually advised not to take this drug if you are allergic to the medication or other ingredients. Inform your physician if you suffer from heart or liver disease before starting the treatment. Because this medication reduces the body’s immune system, it may increase the risk of developing skin cancer. Patients must know how to reduce their exposure to sun and the ultraviolet (UV) ultraviolet (UV) light. Consult your physician immediately if you experience any bleeding on your skin or fever. Or any other unidentified fatigue, dizziness, eyes, or skin. Eyes or eyes, vision impairment, a decrease in urine output, or seizures following taking this medicine. Mofecon S 180 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory medication. It could affect the infant’s growing immune system and should be avoided during breastfeeding.
