Humog 150IU Injection has the active ingredient Menotrophin. Menotrophin is an Ovulation Stimulator and is part of the class of medicines known as gonadotropins. It is a highly pure mixture of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and the luteinizing hormone (LH). These are natural hormones that both females and males produce. They assist the reproductive organs in functioning normally.
Humog 150IU Injection is utilized to treat infertility among women who aren’t ovulating, have polycystic Ovarian Disease, or have not had a response to treatment using a medication called clomiphene citrate. It also increases the number of follicles in a woman’s body and, as a result, increases fertility among women undergoing IVF (in-vitro fertilization) or other forms of assisted conception. It can also be used to treat male infertility because of a low sperm count.
Do not use Humog 150IU Injection if allergic to menotrophin or other medication ingredients. Don’t take this medication if you are suffering from a tumor that is located in the pituitary gland (a gland that is situated in the brain’s base that produces certain hormones, including growth hormones) or in the hypothalamus (a part of the brain’s thalamus called the thalamus that regulates the body’s conditions like blood pressure and temperature) as well as in the uterus and ovaries the testicles, and breasts or prostate gland. Before you begin treatment, you’ll be examined for thyroid issues, hormone levels, and tumors in the hypothalamus and pituitary glands.
