Lyophilized (Snake Venom Antiserum) Injection

Lyophilized (Snake antiserum injection of venom) is an antiserum for snake venom that is used to treat snakebites. It’s a mix of antibodies created in horses and specifically created to neutralize the venoms of some snakes. It is made up of enzyme-refined polyvalent horse antivenom immunoglobulin fragments. The drug is employed to combat snakebites caused by venomous snakes like cobras, kraits and Mambas. It can also be used to treat snakebites that are caused by non-venomous snakes like boas and pythons, if there is a possibility of infection.

Do not take this medication if you have an allergy to Lyophilized (Snake venom antiserum injection). Before you take the medicine, inform your physician if you are expecting, planning to have a baby or suspect you might be breastfeeding or pregnant. Inform your physician if you have an antecedent history of any disease. Inform your physician if you suffer from any kidney, liver or heart-related condition. This is not a recommended injection for patients who are sensitive to any ingredient of the antiserum. Also, it should not be administered to those who have an background of blood clots or kidney issues.
