VAC Typh Injection

Vac-typh injection has active components known as purified Vi capsular polysaccharides. It is a component of Salmonella Typhi (Ty 2.). It’s a preventive measure to guard against typhoid, a bacterial infection caused by Salmonella Typhi. Typhoid fever is usually contracted by eating contaminated food or drinking water. The vaccinated people have a lower chance of getting infected by S. Typhi, which can reduce the transmission of bacteria in communities and help prevent outbreaks.
If you experience an extreme allergy to one of the components of the Vac Typh injection (e.g., a previous dose of vaccine or any of its components), you shouldn’t take the vaccine. The vaccination may not be recommended if you’ve had an extreme allergic reaction or severe adverse reactions following an earlier dose of Vac-type injection. Although Vac Typh injections are generally considered safe in pregnancy, they must be handled cautiously, especially in the first trimester.
If you’ve received the transfusion of plasma or blood and are waiting a while before receiving the Vac Typh injection, it is advised. In general, vaccine type injections are suitable for older people. However, the type of vaccination and the method of administration will differ depending on the age.
