ACOSEV 400MG TABLET
₹136.00₹230.00 (-41%)
Acosev 400 mg tablet has an active ingredient named Sevelamer. It is part of the medication category known as phosphate binding agents. It controls hyperphosphatemia (high blood levels of phosphate) for adult patients undergoing dialysis (hemodialysis or dialysis in the peritoneal region) and patients suffering from chronic kidney disease with elevated phosphorus levels in their serum. Combining it with other treatments, including vitamin D or calcium-rich supplements, is suggested to avoid bone diseases. A high blood phosphorus level can result in calcification, where deposits develop and make blood vessels stiffer, affecting blood flow.
Do not take Acosev 400 mg tablet if you have an allergy to Sevelamer or one of its components in the drug. Avoid taking this medicine when you are suffering from lower levels of phosphate or obstruction of the bowel. Before you start taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are expecting or planning to become pregnant or suspect you might be nursing or pregnant. Before you begin the treatment plan, tell your physician to be aware of any issues you may have with swallowing or if your stomach or bowels are having problems moving food.
Also, tell your physician if you have an intestinal inflammation or have undergone significant bowel or stomach surgery. Acosev 400 mg tablets, is not recommended for children younger than six years of age due to the absence of research studies regarding the safety and efficacy of this age group. If your doctor has warned you that you have a problem with sugar, be sure to consult with your doctor before taking this medication because it contains lactose.
