Adalirel 40mg Injection has an active component Adalimumab. It is an antirheumatic drug that belongs to the drugs category known as TNF (tumor necrosis factor) inhibitors. It is combined with other medicines to treat the symptoms of auto-immune conditions. It can be used to treat rheumatoid joint arthritis (a disease in which the body attacks joints which causes pain, swelling, and loss of function), Polyarticular juvenile Idiopathic arthritis (a condition that affects children, in which the body attacks its joints which causes swelling, pain, and impairment of function and retards in development and growth).
It is also used to treat arthritis ankylosing spondylitis (a disease in which the body attacks bones of the spine as well as other regions that cause joint damage) and axial that does not have any radiographic evidence of ankylosing Spondylitis Psoriatic arthritis (a condition that causes joint pain as well as scaling and swelling over the body) plaque psoriasis an inflammatory condition called hidradenitis (a skin condition that can cause bumps like pimples in your armpits, the groin and the area of the anal) Crohn’s disease ulcerative colitis (a condition that results in sores and swelling of the colon’s lining [large intestine] and the rectum) as well as non-infectious uveitis (swelling and inflammation in various regions in the eye).
Don’t use Adalirel 40mg Injection if you are allergic to adalimumab or any other ingredients in this medication. Don’t take this medication when you have active tuberculosis or other serious infections. Don’t take this medication when you suffer from severe or moderate heart failure. Inform your physician if you are suffering from any active infection before commencing the treatment. Discuss with your physician that you have lung problems or heart conditions and kidney or liver problems before starting the treatment. If you’re pregnant, think that you are pregnant, or plan to have a child, consult your physician for guidance on taking this medication.
