Adfrar 40mg injection contains the active ingredient Adalimumab. It is an antirheumatic drug that is part of the class of medicines known as TNF (tumor necrosis factor) inhibitors. It can be used by itself or together with other medicines to treat the symptoms of auto-immune diseases. It is prescribed to treat rheumatoid joint arthritis (a condition where the body attacks joints and causes swelling, pain, and loss of functionality) and polyarticular juvenile Idiopathic arthritis (a condition that affects children, in which the body attacks the joints of its own which causes swelling, pain, and impairment of function and retards in the growth process and developmental).
It is also used for treating arthritis and ankylosing Spondylitis (a condition where the body attacks joint joints in the spinal spine and other parts, which causes joint pain and damage). Axia with no radiographic evidence of ankylosing Spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis (a condition that causes joint pain as well as scaling and swelling in the skin) plaque psoriasis, the inflammatory condition known as hidradenitis suppurativa (a skin condition that can cause bumps that resemble pimples in the groin, armpits and in the anal area) Crohn’s disease ulcerative colitis (a condition that causes sores and swelling in the colon’s lining, which includes the large intestine] as well as the rectum) and non-infectious Uveitis (swelling and inflammation in various regions of the eyes).
Do not take Adfrar 40mg Injection if your body is allergic to Adalimumab or any other ingredient in this drug. Don’t take this medication when you are suffering from active tuberculosis or any other serious infections. Don’t take this medication when you suffer from severe or moderate heart problems. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from any active infection before commencing the treatment. Discuss with your physician that you suffer from lung problems or heart disease and kidney or liver problems before beginning treatment. If you are expecting, believe that you are pregnant, or plan to have a child, consult your physician to give you advice on how to take this medication.
