Biomyf S 360 mg tablet is an immunosuppressant with an active ingredient known as Mycophenolate sodium. It falls under the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. The medicine is prescribed to avoid organ rejection in patients who have had the organs of a donor (such as heart, kidney, and liver transplantation). It is usually prescribed as a part of a combination treatment, which includes other immunosuppressive medications.
This medication is not recommended during pregnancy because of the risk of miscarriage and congenital disabilities. It is not recommended for pregnant women unless there are other alternatives, and the advantages outweigh the risks. Females who have a reproductive capacity are advised to utilize the most effective contraception available when they take the tablet to stop the onset of pregnancy. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient takes Biomyf S 360 mg tablet because of the decreased effectiveness of the vaccine and increased risk of contracting an infection. People taking this drug are not allowed to donate blood during treatment and, at minimum, six weeks after having stopped treatment. It is a way to ensure that the drug has been completely removed from the body before donating blood.
It is usually advised not to use this medication in case you have an allergy to the drug or other components. Inform your physician if you suffer from heart or liver problems before beginning treatment. Because this drug weakens the body’s immune system, it may increase the risk of developing skin cancer. Patients must know how to reduce exposure to sunlight and UV (UV) ultraviolet (UV) light. Consult your physician immediately in the event of skin swelling or fever, unprovoked fatigue, dizziness, discoloration of the skin or eyes, vision impairment, decreased urinary output, or seizures after taking this medication. Biomyf S 360 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory medication. It could interfere with the development of the infant’s immune system and should not be used during breastfeeding.
