Celestras 500IU injection is an immune modulator containing an active ingredient known as a human C1-esterase inhibitor. It is part of the drug class called complement inhibitors. The C1-esterase inhibitor can be described as a natural human protein found in blood to manage swelling and inflammation. Insufficient amounts of C1-esterase inhibitors in the bloodstream or the malfunctioning of C1-esterase inhibitors can cause angioedema (swelling) that can cause indications of stomach pain and swelling of the hand, face, eyelids, mouth, lips, larynx, genitals, and feet. This medication partially prevents the development of hereditary angioedema that affects adolescents, adults, and children (six years old or older) by increasing the quantity of C1-esterase inhibitors in the bloodstream.
Do not use this medication if allergic to Human C1-esterase or its other components.
