Cprostin Injection has an active ingredient called carboprost tromethamine. The medicine is part of the prostaglandins group. This medicine is utilized to stop postpartum (after having given birth) bleeding that is caused by atony in the uterus (soft and weak uterus following birth) for women. It is not a self-administration medication; your physician will determine the drug dose based on your health history under the proper health assessment.
Ask your physician if you have an allergy to carboprost or other ingredients, and tell your physician if you suffer from acute pelvic inflammatory disorder. Ask your physician if you plan to have a baby or think that you are pregnant during breastfeeding, as it is not advised for women who are pregnant. The safety and efficacy of the treatment for children and elderly aren’t established. These medications are not recommended for patients suffering from lung, liver, and kidney disorders such as diabetes, jaundice, anemia, issues with blood pressure, epilepsy, and other conditions.
