Emtux 500mg injection is made up of the active ingredient of rituximab. It is a treatment for various diseases in adults. It can be used by itself or with other medicines to treat non-hodgkin’s Lymphoma (cancer that affects B-lymphocytes or white blood cells) and chronic lymphocytic Leukemia (the most frequent form of cancer that targets B-cells). It can also treat moderate-to-severe arthritis (a kind of illness in which the immune system targets the leukapheresis cell body cells that line the joints it owns) together with methotrexate for adults. Other uses include granulomatosis and polyangiitis, also known as microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels that predominantly affects the lungs and kidneys) in children and adults aged two years and over. It can also treat severe to moderate pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune disorder that causes painful burns on the skin and the lining of the mouth, nasal, throat, and genitals.
Emtux 500 mg injection is part of the class of drugs known as monoclonal antibodies against CD20. Don’t take this medicine if you’re allergic to rituximab or any other components, are immune-compromised, or suffer from an active disease. Inform your doctor if you suffer from heart disease, failure, or breathing difficulties before starting the treatment. Consult your physician if you’ve ever suffered a hepatitis B infection, as the infection could reactivate in a handful of cases and is sometimes severe. The use of breastfeeding and pregnant women is not recommended while using this injectable.
Common adverse effects of Emtux 500mg injections include blood infections, decreased red blood cells, and dizziness. Other side effects include body fat, face, and skin swelling. Itchy the skin, vomiting, a rise in sweating, and high or low blood pressure. Make sure you are using effective contraceptives during treatment and for 12 months following the last dose if you do become pregnant. This medication can cause severe reactions to an infusion within 24 hours following the administration. Inform your doctor or medical professional if you experience reactions to infusion like increased blood pressure and chest pains, headaches or breathing issues, vomiting, and skin rashes. You may also experience throat swelling.
