Equirab 1500IU Injection

Equirab 1500IU Injection is a mixture of active ingredients known as antiserum rabies. It belongs to the same drug class as Immunoglobulin. It is also referred to as rabies immune-globulin (Equirab 500IU)) also known as rabies immune serum. It is a treatment used to prevent the onset of rabies in people exposed to the rabies virus. One of the primary benefits of Equirab 1500IU injection is that it gives instant passive protection against rabies virus. It is a vital element of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for those bit or scratched and confronted with a dangerous animal. The neutralization of the virus that causes rabies at the exposure area can stop it from getting into the nervous system and advancing into the symptomatic form of the disease.
People with a history of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) in response to any ingredient in the Equirab 1500IU Injection or prior rabies vaccinations are not recommended to take any of the components in the Equirab 1500IU injection. Suppose a person has completed a complete course of Rabies vaccination (pre-exposure preventative). In this case, it’s possible that they won’t need this in case of another exposure since their immune system is likely to be able to recognize an antibody reaction against the virus.
