Exemptia 40mg injection contains the active ingredient adalimumab. The antirheumatic drug belongs to the category of drugs known as TNF (tumor necrosis factor) inhibitors. It can be used by itself or with other drugs to treat the symptoms associated with auto-immune conditions. It can be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (a condition where the body attacks joints which causes pain, swelling, and loss of function) and polyarticular juvenile Idiopathic arthritis (a condition that affects children where the body attacks its joints and causes pain, swelling, and loss of function as well as delays in growing and growth).
It can also be used to treat arthritis causing enthesitis, ankylosing Spondylitis (a disease in which the body attacks bones of the spine as well as other parts that cause joint damage), Axial spondyloarthritis with no radiographic evidence of ankylosing Spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis (a condition that causes joint pain as well as scales and swelling in the skin) plaque psoriasis the hidradenitis suppurativa (a skin condition that can cause bumps that resemble pimples on the armpits, groin and the anal region) Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis (a condition that results in sores and swelling of the colon’s lining [large intestine] and the rectum) and non-infectious Uveitis (swelling and inflammation in various regions in the eye).
Don’t use Exemptia 40 mg Injection if you are sensitive to Adalimumab or other ingredients in this medication. Don’t take this medication in case you are suffering from active tuberculosis or other serious infections. Avoid taking this medicine in the event of severe or moderate heart failure. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from any active infection before beginning the treatment. Inform your doctor that you suffer from lung problems, heart disease, or kidney problems before starting the treatment. If you’re pregnant, think that you are pregnant, or plan to have a child, consult your physician to give you advice on how to take this medication.
