FOLICULIN 150IU Injection is a source of the active ingredient Urofollitropin. The drug is an ovulation stimulator and is part of the class of medicines known as gonadotropins. This medication is utilized to address infertility issues in women who have not been able to ovulate and have polycystic ovarian disorder and those who have not been able to respond to treatment with a different medication called clomiphene citrate. It can also be used to treat multiple follicles and, as a result, encourage fertility among women who are undergoing IVF (in-vitro fertilization) or other forms of assisted conception. It is also used to treat male infertility because of a low sperm count.
Don’t consume Foliculin 150IU injection if you have an allergy to this medicine or one other component of this medication. Don’t take this medication if you are suffering from an abnormal pituitary gland (a gland that is located at the brain’s bottom and is responsible for the production of certain hormones, which include growth hormones) or in the hypothalamus (an area that is located beneath the brain’s thalamus called the thalamus that regulates the internal conditions of your body such as blood pressure and temperature) and in ovaries, uterus, the testicles, and breasts or the prostate gland. Before starting treatment, you’ll be examined for thyroid underactivity issues, hormone levels, and tumors in the hypothalamus and pituitary glands.
Do not take this medication if you suffer from an ovarian cyst that is not caused by PCOD bleeding from the vagina or menopausal symptoms, issues with these organs if your womb was removed, or if you are breastfeeding or pregnant. Tell your physician right away if you are experiencing any of these signs, like abdominal pain, swelling and diarrhea, weight gain or breathing problems, and a decrease in urination.
