HepaBsv 100IU Injection contains human hepatitis B immunoglobulin. It protects against the hepatitis B virus in children and adults. Hepatitis B virus can be described as a disease that affects the liver, and over time, the virus may stop your liver from functioning effectively. The medication is typically administered if you’ve been exposed to the blood of an infected person or babies born to mothers with the hepatitis B virus.
It’s also administered if you have had a prior hepatitis B vaccination that hasn’t been effective, following exposure to people with the infection, following an organ transplant, or if you are undergoing dialysis for kidneys (waiting for the hepatitis B vaccine to become 100% efficient). HepaBsv 100IU injection should not be administered if you have any blood disorders that cause blood clotting or if you’re known to have antibodies to immunoglobulin.
Consult your physician if you suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, or blood disorders or are planning to have any vaccinations before taking the HepaBsv 100IU injection. It is usually given along with hepatitis B vaccination.
