Invanz 1gm Injection is an antibiotic medication in the carbapenems category containing an active component called Ertapenem. This drug can be used for treating various infections caused by bacterial organisms. It also treats the skin, lung urine, gynecological, and skin illnesses. It is often employed to prevent injuries to the site of surgery.
Invanz 1gm injection is not recommended in hypersensitive patients who have adverse reactions with other antibiotics that contain beta-lactams, such as cephalosporins or penicillins. The drug should be taken carefully or avoided. It can also reduce the concentrations in the blood of valproic acids, a medication that is used for treating seizures and various mental health issues. It could result in decreased effectiveness of the drug valproic acid. If you’re taking valproic acids, your doctor may have to alter the dosage or look at other options. This medicine use has been associated with developing Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD) and colitis, severe antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
If you have bloody or severe stool while you are using the injection, it’s crucial to inform your physician. Before you take Invanz 1gm injection, discussing your medical conditions with a physician is required. Tell them if you suffer from allergic conditions such as kidney disease or if you’re on an oxalate-controlled diet. These conditions may require specific attention or monitoring when you receive treatment. If you think you might be pregnant or planning to have a child and are unsure, tell your doctor about all medications you’ve taken recently, including supplements and herbs.
