Ketofrench tablets are a nutritional supplement with an active ingredient called Alpha Ketoanalogue. It is part of the category of medicines known as amino acids. It is prescribed in conjunction with a protein-restricted diet to prevent the development of chronic kidney diseases (CKD). It helps reduce uraemic symptoms (caused by the accumulation of nitrogenous substances typically eliminated by the kidneys). It improves the nutritional state and helps reduce metabolic problems among CKD patients. It can lower urea levels in the bloodstream and reduce the progression of the kidney condition, slowing the requirement for long-term dialysis.

Do not take Ketofrench tablets if you’re intolerant to Alpha Ketoanalogue or its components. Avoid taking this medication when you suffer from hypercalcemia (high amount of calcium) or irregular heartbeats since the use of this medication may result in an increase in calcium levels in your blood and may cause irregular heartbeats. While you are taking treatment, your physician might suggest periodic checking of calcium levels in your blood. You are notifying your doctor if you are breastfeeding or pregnant before starting this medication.
