Keycept S 360 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory medication with an active ingredient known as Mycophenolate sodium. It falls under the inosine-monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. It is prescribed to avoid organ rejection in patients who have had one of their organs (such as heart, kidney and liver transplantation). It is usually defined as part of a treatment combination which includes other immunosuppressive medications.
The use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy because of the risk of miscarriage or congenital disabilities. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless there are no other suitable alternatives and the possible advantages outweigh the risks. Females with reproductive potential should be advised to utilize an effective contraceptive tablet to avoid the possibility of becoming pregnant. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient takes the Keycept S 360mg tablet due to the vaccine’s decreased effectiveness and the possibility of contracting an infection. People taking this drug must not give blood during treatment and, at minimum, six weeks after having stopped treatment. It is a way to ensure that the medication is eliminated from the body before donating blood.
It is recommended not to use this medication if you have an allergy to it or other ingredients. Inform your physician if you suffer from heart or liver disease before beginning treatment. Since this medication weakens the body’s immune defences, it increases the risk of developing skin cancer. People should reduce their exposure to sun and UV (UV) radiation. Contact your doctor immediately if there are bruises on your surface or if you experience fever or any other unidentified dizziness, fatigue, discolouration of the skin or eyes, vision impairment, a decrease in urine output, or seizures following this medication. Keycept S 360 mg tablet is an immunosuppressive drug. It could affect a baby’s growing immune system and must be avoided while breastfeeding.
