Keycept S 360 mg tablet is an immunosuppressant that contains an active ingredient named Mycophenolate sodium. It falls under the inosine-monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. The medicine is used to stop organ rejection in patients who have had one of their organs (such as heart, kidney, and liver transplantations). It is usually prescribed as a part of a treatment combination that includes other immunosuppressive medications.
The use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy due to the possibility of miscarriage or congenital disabilities. This medication should not be used for pregnant women unless there are no other suitable alternatives and the benefits outweigh any risks. Women with reproductive potential should be advised to utilize the most effective contraception available when they take this tablet to stop the possibility of pregnancy. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient takes Keycept S 360mg tablet due to the decreased effectiveness of vaccines and the risk of getting ill. People taking this drug must not give blood during treatment and, at minimum, six weeks after having stopped treatment. This ensures that the drug is eliminated from the body before blood is donated.
It is usually advised not to use this medication if you are allergic to it or other components. Tell your doctor if you suffer from heart or liver disease before beginning the treatment. Because this drug weakens the body’s immune defenses, it could increase the risk of developing skin cancer. People should reduce their exposure to sun and UV (UV) radiation. Consult your physician immediately if you notice any bleeding on your skin or fever. Unprovoked fatigue, dizziness or discoloration of the skin, eyes, vision impairment, a decrease in urine output, or seizures after taking this medication. Keycept S 360 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory medication. It can affect the infant’s developing immune system and should be avoided while breastfeeding.
