Lanum C 500mg Tablet is an anti-acid medication in the digestive agent class containing calcium carbonate. It is used to treat the problem of calcium deficiencies (insufficient amounts) within the body. The drug is recommended for patients who are undergoing dialysis for kidneys. It assists in removing the phosphate in blood that is not eliminated by dialysis.
Do not consume this drug when allergic to Calcium carbonate or other ingredients or have experienced difficulty breathing or skin itching. The drug is usually not recommended for people with kidney stones or who have excessive levels of calcium found in urine or blood. Consuming too much Lanum C 500mg Tablet could cause hypercalcemia, characterized by increased calcium levels in the blood. The symptoms of hypercalcemia can include nausea, fatigue, constipation, excessive thirst, and frequent urination, and in extreme instances, it may cause weakness of muscles, confusion, and cardiac problems.
