LUPIXIMAB 500MG INJECTION

Lupiximab 500mg injection is a medication that contains the active ingredient rituximab. It is used to treat various conditions in adults, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (cancer that affects white blood cells called B-lymphocytes) and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (a type of cancer that affects B-cells). It can also be used to treat moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (a condition where the immune system attacks the body’s joints) when used in combination with methotrexate. Additionally, Lupiximab 500mg injection is used to treat granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels that affects the lungs and kidneys) in adults and children aged two years and older. It is also effective in treating moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune condition that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes). Lupiximab 500mg injection is a type of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody medication. It’s important to avoid using this injection if you have rituximab or any other component allergies, a weakened immune system, or a severe infection. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have heart disease, heart failure, or respiratory issues. If you have a history of hepatitis B infection, consult your doctor, as reactivation may occur in some cases and can be severe. This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Lupiximab 500mg injection may cause several side effects, including infection of the bloodstream, anemia, dizziness, swelling in the face and body, itchy skin, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and abnormal blood pressure. If you’re capable of becoming pregnant, it’s crucial to use reliable contraceptives during the treatment and for 12 months after the final dose. Be aware that this medication can trigger severe infusion reactions, which can occur during or within 24 hours of administration. If you experience any infusion reactions, such as increased blood pressure, chest pain, headache, breathing difficulties, vomiting, skin rashes, or throat swelling, immediately inform your physician or healthcare professional.
