Maball 500mg injection has the active component of rituximab. It is a treatment for various diseases in adults. It is prescribed either on its own or in combination with other medications to treat non-hodgkin’s Lymphoma (cancer that affects B-lymphocytes or white blood cells) as well as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a type of cancer that afflicts B-cells). It is also used for treating moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (an illness in which the immune system attacks body cells in its joints) together with methotrexate in adults. Other uses include granulomatosis, polyangiitis, or microscopic angiitis (inflammation of blood vessels that primarily affects the lungs and kidneys) for children and adults two years old and over. It can also be used to treat severe to moderate pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune disorder that causes painful pimples on the skin as well as the lining of the mouth, nasal, throat, and genitals.
Maball 500mg injection falls into the class of medicines known as monoclonal antibodies against CD20.
