Mabtas T 100 mg injection has the active ingredient of rituximab. It is prescribed for various diseases in adults. It can be used by itself or in combination with other medications to treat Lymphoma (cancer which affects B-lymphocytes or white blood cells) and chronic lymphocytic Leukemia (a type of cancer that targets B-cells). It can also treat moderate-to-severe arthritis (a form of arthritis in which the immune system attacks body cells in the joints it owns) together with methotrexate for adults. Other uses include granulomatosis and polyangiitis, also known as microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels that predominantly affects the lungs and kidneys) for children and adults aged two years or older. It can also treat mild to severe pemphigus (an autoimmune disorder that causes painful pimples on the skin and the lining of the mouth, throat, and genitals.
Mabtas T 100 mg injection is part of the class of medicines known as monoclonal antibodies against CD20. Avoid taking this medicine if you’re intolerant to rituximab or any other ingredient in this medicine or if you are immune-compromised or suffer from an active disease. Inform your doctor if you suffer from heart disease, failure, or breathing difficulties before starting the treatment. Consult your physician when you’ve had a hepatitis B infection since the infection can recur in some cases and is sometimes severe. Breastfeeding and pregnancy are not advised when receiving this treatment.
Common adverse reactions Common side effects of Mabtas T 100mg injection include blood clots and red blood cells, decreased dizziness, and swelling of the body, face, and skin. Itchy face, diarrhea, sweat, ting, and low or high blood pressure. Utilize effective contraceptives during treatment and for 12 months following the last dose if you can become pregnant. This medication may trigger severe reactions to an infusion within 24 hours of treatment. Inform your doctor or a healthcare professional if you experience any reactions to infusion like elevated blood pressure and chest pains, headaches, breathing problems, nausea, skin rashes, or throat swelling.
