Merex 500mg Injection is a source of the active ingredient Methotrexate. It is an anti-metabolite as well as an immunosuppressant medication. It treats specific types of cancers, including acute lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) and meningeal Leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s s lymphoma, osteosarcoma, and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. It also treats breast cancer, as well as cancer of the head and neck, for adults. It can also be utilized to manage severe cases of psoriasis in adults (a skin condition that causes patches of red and scaly skin to appear on the body in certain areas). It is also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis in adults.
Do not take Merex 500mg Injection if have an allergy to Methotrexate, or any other ingredient of this medication. Avoid taking this medicine when you suffer from liver or kidney problems, blood disorders, a weak immune system, are pregnant, or nursing. Inform your doctor immediately when you notice any signs of spitting or coughing up blood, general weakness of muscles, or vision problems, as well as changes in memory, thinking, and orientation issues. This medication may affect fertility. Beware of becoming pregnant during the treatment and for six months following the last dose.
