Mexate 5 mg tablet is a supplement to the active ingredient Methotrexate. It is an anti-metabolite as well as an immunosuppressant medication. It is used to treat certain kinds of cancer, like acute lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) as well as meningeal  lymphoma, fibroblasts as well as bone sarcoma and soft tissue as well as cutaneous T-cell lymphoma breast cancer, as well as cancer of the head and neck for adults. It can also be utilized to manage severe psoriasis (a skin condition that causes red, scaly skin patches on specific body parts) in adults. It can also treat rheumatoid arthritis (a joint disorder) in adults.
Do not take Mexate 5mg tablet if you suffer from an allergic reaction to Methotrexate or any other ingredient of this medication. Don’t take this medication when you suffer from liver or kidney problems, blood disorders, a weak immune system, are pregnant, or nursing. This medication may affect fertility. Do not become pregnant during treatment and for six months following the dose that was last taken.
