MIRENA 20MCG/24H PACKET
₹3,535.00₹3,874.50 (-9%)
Mirena 20mcg/24H packet is a synthetic hormone-like compound known as Levonorgestrel. It belongs to a class of drugs known as progestins. It’s used as an emergency contraceptive. It is effective after the 72-hour period (3 days) of sexual activity that is unprotected or if the usual method of contraception is not working. This medication is not intended to be used before the menstrual bleeding begins or for women younger than 16 years of age. Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you suspect that you are pregnant because the tablets won’t be effective if there is already a pregnancy. The tablets don’t end the pregnancy and aren’t abortion pills. Signs of pregnancy could include an unplanned period of longer than five days late bleeding that is not normal at the time your period is due or sex that is not protected within 72 hours of when you last had a period. The doctor could recommend an alternative contraceptive if required.
Don’t consume this medication if you suffer from a medical health condition such as Crohn’s disease that affects the absorption of drugs in the small bowel of your body or liver problems that are severe or a history of an ectopic pregnancy (baby growing outside of the womb) or a previous experience of salpingitis (inflammation of the fallopian tube). Do not take Mirena 20mcg/24H capsule if there is a reaction to Levonorgestrel or its components. Before you take the medication, be sure to inform your doctor if you are expecting or anticipating pregnancy or believe you could be expecting or nursing. Inform your physician if you suffer from lactose intolerance or an intolerance to sugar molecules. If you’ve used this medication and are planning to have sex but without the contraceptive pill, make sure you have that you are protected by caps or condoms and spermicide up to the time of your next menstrual cycle. These tablets won’t work if you’ve had sex that’s not protected before your next menstrual period.
