MMF 500MG TABLET

MMF 500MG tablet is an immunosuppressant that contains an active ingredient known as Mycophenolate sodium. It falls under the inosine monophosphate deshydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. The medicine is used to stop rejection of organs in patients who have had one of their organs (such as heart, kidney transplantation, or liver). It is prescribed as a part of a combination treatment that also includes other immunosuppressive medicines.

This medication is not recommended during pregnancy because of the risk of miscarriage and birth defects. It is not recommended for pregnant women unless there are other alternatives and the possible benefits outweigh any risks. Females who are prone to conceiving are strongly advised to utilize the most effective contraception available when they take this tablet to stop the possibility of pregnancy. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient on MMF 500MG  tablet due to the decreased effectiveness of vaccines and the possibility of contracting an infection. Patients taking this medication are not allowed to donate blood during treatment, and at minimum six weeks after having stopped treatment. This will ensure that the medication has been completely removed out of the body prior to giving blood.

It is recommended not to use this medication in case you have an allergy to the drug or other ingredient. Tell your physician if suffer from heart or liver disease prior to starting the treatment. Since this medication weakens the body’s immune system, it increases the risk of developing skin cancer. People should take steps to reduce their exposure to sun and the ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Contact your physician right away when you experience bruises on your surface, fever unprovoked dizziness, fatigue, discoloration of the skin or eyes vision impairment, decreased urinary output, or seizures after taking this medication. MMF 500MG  tablet is an immunosuppressive medicine. It can impact the developing infant’s immune system and is best kept out of breastfeeding.
