Mofecon 500 mg tablet is an immunosuppressant with an active ingredient named Mycophenolate mofetil. It is part of the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. The medicine is prescribed to avoid organ rejection in people who have had the organs of a donor (such as heart, kidney and liver transplantation). It is defined as a part of a treatment combination which includes other immunosuppressive medications.
The use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy due to the possibility of miscarriage and congenital disabilities.
