Mycept 500 mg Tablet is an anti-inflammatory drug with an active ingredient, Mycophenolate mofetil. It falls under the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. It is used to stop organ rejection in patients who have had the organs of a donor (such as heart, kidney transplantation, or liver). It is usually prescribed as part of a combination treatment, which includes other immunosuppressive medications.
The use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy because of the risk of miscarriage and congenital disabilities.
