Mycomune S 360 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory with the active ingredient, Mycophenolate sodium. It is part of the inosine-monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. The medicine is prescribed to avoid organ rejection in patients who have had the organs of a donor (such as heart, kidney transplantation, or liver). It is a part of a combination treatment, including other immunosuppressive medications.
This medication is not recommended during pregnancy because of the risk of miscarriage or congenital disabilities. This medication should not be used for pregnant women unless there are other alternatives and the advantages outweigh the risks. Women who are pregnant should be advised to utilize the most effective contraception when taking this tablet to stop the development of a pregnancy. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient is using the Mycomune S 360mg tablet due to a decrease in the vaccine’s effectiveness and the risk of getting ill. Patients taking this medication must not give blood during treatment and, at minimum, six weeks after having stopped treatment. It is a way to ensure that the drug has been completely removed from the body before donating blood.
It is usually advised not to take this drug in case you have an allergy to the medication or other components. Tell your physician if you suffer from heart or liver problems before beginning treatment. Because this medication reduces the body’s immune system, it could increase the risk of developing skin cancer. People should minimize exposure to sunlight or the ultraviolet (UV) ultraviolet (UV) light. Consult your physician immediately in case of bruising on the skin, fever, unprovoked fatigue, dizziness, discoloration of the skin or eyes, vision impairment, decreased urinary output, or seizures after taking this medication. Mycomune S 360 mg tablet is an immunosuppressive drug. It could affect the infant’s developing immune system, and breastfeeding is recommended during the first few months of life.
