Myfortic 180 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory drug with an active ingredient known as Mycophenolate sodium. It falls under the inosine-monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. It is used to stop the rejection of organs in patients who have had one of their organs (such as heart, kidney transplantation, or liver). It is prescribed as a component of a treatment combination that includes other immunosuppressive medications.
This medication is not recommended during pregnancy due to the possibility of miscarriage and congenital disabilities. It is not recommended during pregnancy unless there are no other suitable alternatives and the possible benefits outweigh any risks. Women with a reproductive capacity should be advised to utilize the most effective contraception available while taking this tablet to avoid the onset of pregnancy. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient takes Myfortic 180mg tablet because of the vaccine’s decreased effectiveness and the possibility of contracting infection. Patients taking this medication are not allowed to donate blood during treatment and, at minimum, six weeks after having stopped treatment. It is a way to ensure that the drug is entirely cleared from the body before donating blood.
It is recommended not to take this drug when allergic to the medication or other components. Tell your doctor about heart or liver problems before starting the treatment. Because this medication reduces the body’s immune defenses, it could increase the risk of developing skin cancer. People should take steps to minimize their exposure to the ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Consult your physician immediately in the event of swelling of the face, fever, or any other unidentified dizziness, fatigue, eyes, or skin. Eyes or eyes, vision impairment, decreased urinary output, or seizures after taking this medication. Myfortic 180 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory medication. It could affect the infant’s growing immune system, and it is recommended that breastfeeding be avoided.
