Myfortic 360 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory drug that contains an active ingredient named Mycophenolate sodium. It is part of the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. The medicine is prescribed to avoid rejection of organs for those who have received one of their organs (such as heart, kidney, and liver transplantation). It is usually prescribed as a part of a combination treatment, which includes other immunosuppressive medications.
This medication is not recommended during pregnancy due to the possibility of miscarriage and congenital disabilities. This medication should not be used for pregnant women unless there are other alternatives and the benefits outweigh any risks. Women who are prone to conceiving are strongly advised to utilize an effective contraception when using this tablet to avoid the possibility of becoming pregnant. Live vaccines shouldn’t be administered when a patient is taking Myfortic 360mg tablets because of their lower effectiveness and the chance of contracting an infection. People taking this drug are not allowed to donate blood during treatment and, at minimum, six weeks after having stopped treatment. It is a way to ensure that the drug has been completely removed from the body before donating blood.
It is usually advised not to use this medication if you have an allergy to it or other components. Inform your physician if you suffer from heart or liver disease before starting the treatment. Since this medication weakens the body’s immune system, it increases the risk of developing skin cancer. Patients must know how to minimize their exposure to the ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Consult your physician immediately when you experience bruises on your surface, fever, or any other unidentified tiredness or dizziness in your skin. Eyes vision impairment, decreased urine output, or seizures following taking this medication. Myfortic 360 mg tablet is an anti-inflammatory medication. It can affect the infant’s developing immune system and should be avoided during breastfeeding.
