Mystead 500mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant with an active ingredient known as Mycophenolate mofetil. It falls under the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. It is used to stop organ rejection in patients who have had the organs of a donor (such as heart, kidney, and liver transplantations). It is usually prescribed as part of a treatment combination that includes other immunosuppressive medications.
The use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy because of the risk of miscarriage and congenital disabilities. It is not recommended for pregnant women unless there are other alternatives, and the advantages outweigh the risks. Women who are born should take effective contraception when using this tablet to prevent the onset of pregnancy.
