Relipoietin 2000IU injection contains active ingredients like Recombinant Human erythropoietin ALFA/Epo. It is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs called erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). This medication helps treat anemia due to chronic kidney diseases (CKD), chemotherapy for cancer, or HIV treatment using zidovudine. It also decreases the need for transfusions of red blood cells for patients at risk of losing blood as a result of surgery planned and other surgical procedures.
Relipoietin 2000IU injection shouldn’t be used by patients who have uncontrolled hypertension or hypersensitivity active thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) or purified red cell aplasia (PRCA) and seizures that are not controlled as well as lactation or pregnancy. It is also recommended to use it carefully in patients with bleeding clots, heart disease, kidney disease, stroke,ke, liver disease, thalassemia, sickle cell anemia(S, CA), myelodysplastic disorder, leukemia or cancer. It is not recommended to use for children younger than 18 years old when the benefits outweigh the risks. Older patients should be monitored closely for adverse reactions.
