Rinval 450 mg  tablets are an Antiviral with an active ingredient known as Valganciclovir. It is part of the class called Antiviral (Non-HIV) medications. Valganciclovir is transformed into Ganciclovir once it enters the body and works to combat viral infections. The drug is prescribed to combat Cytomegalovirus (CMV) conditions that affect the retina in people who suffer from Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Cytomegalovirus infections can cause visual problems and even blindness. It also prevents Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in children and adults who have received organ transplants from someone infected with CMV.
Don’t take this medicine if you are allergic to the Valganciclovir drug, Ganciclovir, or its additional components. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from decreased blood cell counts ( WBC, RBC, Platelet). Inform your physician if you received any radiotherapy or hemodialysis (a treatment that removes the waste and water from the blood) or have conditions affecting your kidney. Inform your doctor if you are expecting or planning to become pregnant. Make sure you are using effective contraception during and after treatment. Women should use contraceptives for 30 days, whereas males should make use of condoms for 90 days between and following treatment. Consult your physician for additional fertility issues. A dose adjustment of Rinval 450mg tablets of will be prescribed if you suffer from kidney problems. Your physician may periodically take the blood test to measure the blood count when using the tablets.
