Ritucad 100mg injection is made up of the active ingredient rituximab. It is utilized to treat different diseases that affect adults. It can be used by itself or with other medications to treat non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (cancer which affects B-lymphocytes or white blood cells) and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (a type of cancer targeting B-cells). It is also used for the treatment of moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (a kind of illness in which the immune system targets the leukapheresis cell body cells that line their joint) when combined with methotrexate for adults. Other indications include granulomatosis, polyangiitis, or microscopic angiitis (inflammation of blood vessels which predominantly affects the lungs and kidneys) in children and adults aged two years or older. It can also treat severe to moderate pemphigus vulgaris (an auto-immune condition that can cause painful pimples on the skin and the lining of the mouth, nose, throat, and genitals.
Ritucad, 100mg injection, falls under the class of medicines known as monoclonal anti-CD20 antibodies. Don’t take this medicine if you’re sensitive to rituximab or other ingredients in this medicine or if you are immune-compromised or suffering from any active severe disease. Inform your physician if you suffer from heart disease, failure, or breathing issues before starting treatment. Consult your physician when you’ve had a hepatitis B infection, as the infection can reactivate in a handful of cases and may be severe in some cases. Breastfeeding and pregnancy are not recommended while receiving this treatment.
The most common reactions to Ritucad 100mg injections include blood infections, reduced red blood cells, and dizziness. Other side effects include swelling of the body, face, and skin. Itchy face, diarrhoea, sweating, and lower or elevated blood pressure. Utilize effective contraceptives during treatment as well as 12 months after the last dose if you do become pregnant. This medication can cause severe reactions to infusions during or within 24 hours following the administration.
