Rituxirel 500mg injection is a medication that contains the active ingredient rituximab. It is used to treat various conditions in adults, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, both cancer types that affect white blood cells called B-lymphocytes. It is also used to treat moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis, a condition where the immune system attacks the body’s joint cells, combined with methotrexate. Additionally, it is used to treat granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis, which are inflammatory conditions that affect the blood vessels and mainly impact the lungs and kidneys in adults and children aged two and older. Furthermore, it treats moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune condition that causes painful skin and mucous membrane blisters. Rituxirel 500mg injection is a type of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody medication. It’s important to avoid using this injection if you have any allergies to rituximab or other ingredients, a weakened immune system, or an active and severe infection. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have heart disease, heart failure, or breathing issues. If you have a history of hepatitis B infection, discuss it with your physician, as reactivation may occur in some cases and can be severe. This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Rituxirel 500mg injection may cause several side effects, including blood infections, anemia, dizziness, swelling in the face and body, itching, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and changes in blood pressure. If you’re able to become pregnant, use reliable contraceptives during treatment and for 12 months after the final dose. Be aware that this medication can trigger severe infusion reactions, which can occur during or up to 24 hours after administration. If you experience any symptoms such as elevated blood pressure, chest pain, headache, breathing difficulties, vomiting, skin rashes, or throat swelling, immediately inform your doctor or healthcare professional.
