Toritz RA 500mg injections contain the active ingredient rituximab. It is used for different diseases that affect adults. It can be taken on its own or in combination with other medicines to treat non-hodgkin’s Lymphoma (cancer that affects B-lymphocytes, which are white blood cells) as well as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (the most frequent form of cancer that affects B cells). It is also used to treat moderate-to-severe arthritis (an illness in which the immune system attacks leukapheresis cells in their joint) together with methotrexate for adults. Other uses include granulomatosis, polyangiitis, or microscopic angiitis (inflammation of blood vessels predominantly affecting the lungs and kidneys) in children and adults two years or older. It can also treat mild to severe pemphigus (an autoimmune disorder that causes painful burns on the skin and the lining of the mouth, nasal, throat, and genitals.
Toritz, RA 500mg injectable, is part of the medicines known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody. Avoid taking this medication if you are sensitive to rituximab or other components of this medication, are immune-compromised, or are suffering from any active severe disease. Inform your doctor if you suffer from heart disease, failure, or breathing issues before initiating treatment. Discuss with your physician when you’ve had the hepatitis B infection since the infection can reactivate in some cases and may be severe in some cases. Breastfeeding and pregnancy are not advised when using this injectable.
Common adverse effects of Toritz RA 500mg injections include blood clots, decreased red blood cells, dizziness, swelling of the body and face, and skin. Itchy the skin, vomiting, sweating, and low or elevated blood pressure. Utilize effective contraceptives during treatment and for 12 months following the last dose if you can become pregnant. This medication may trigger severe reactions to an infusion within 24 hours of administration. Inform your doctor or medical professional if you experience any reactions during infusions, including increased blood pressure and chest pains, headaches, breathing problems, nausea, or skin rashes. You may also experience throat swelling.
