VALOCON 450MG TABLET

Valocon 450 mg Tablet is an Antiviral drug with Valganciclovir as the active ingredient. It is part of the class called Antiviral (Non-HIV) medicines. Valganciclovir is transformed into Ganciclovir upon entering the body and works to combat viral infections. This drug can be used for treating Cytomegalovirus (CMV) diseases in the eyes’ retina for adults suffering from Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Cytomegalovirus can lead to problems with vision and blindness. In addition, it can prevent Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections in people who have received organ transplants from a person infected with CMV, both children and adults.
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Valganciclovir Ganciclovir or its components. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from decreased blood cell numbers ( WBC, RBC, Platelet). Inform your physician if you had any hemodialysis or radiotherapy (a treatment that removes the waste and water out of the blood) or any other issues affecting your kidney. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Utilize effective contraception throughout and even after treatment. Women should utilize contraceptives for a period of 30 days, while men can use condoms for up to 90 days following the treatment. Talk to your doctor about additional fertility issues. Dose adjustments of Valocon, 450mg tablets, will be prescribed if you suffer from kidney problems. The doctor will periodically conduct blood tests to measure the blood count while using the tablets.
