Wepox 2000IU injection contains active components like Recombinant human erythropoietin Alfa/Ep. It is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs called erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). The drug treats anemia due to chronic kidney diseases (CKD), cancer chemotherapy, or HIV treatment using zidovudine. It also reduces the requirement for transfusions of red blood cells for patients at risk of blood loss because of planned surgery and other surgical procedures.
Wepox 2000IU injections are not recommended for those who are hypersensitive towards it or its component components. This includes uncontrollable hypertension, active thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA), or Pure red cell cancer (PRCA) seizures that are uncontrolled, as well as lactation or pregnancy. It is also recommended to use it cautiously in patients who have a previous history of blood clots, heart disease, kidney disease, stroke, liver disease, thalassemia, sickle-cell anemia, myelodysplastic disorder, leukemia, or cancer. It is recommended to only use it in children who are under the age of 18 when the benefits outweigh the risks. Older patients must be monitored closely for any adverse effects.
