Zestmab 500mg injection has the active ingredient of rituximab. It is used to treat various diseases in adults. It can be taken on its own or in combination with other medicines to treat non-hodgkin’s Lymphoma (cancer that affects B-lymphocytes, which are white blood cells) as well as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a type of cancer that targets B-cells). It can also treat moderate-to-severe arthritis (a kind of illness in which the immune system targets the leukapheresis cell body cells that line the joints it owns) when combined with methotrexate for adults. Other uses include granulomatosis, polyangiitis, or microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels that predominantly affects the lungs and kidneys) in children and adults two years old and over. It can also treat moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune disorder that causes painful burns on the skin and the lining of the mouth, nasal, throat, and genitals.
Zestmab 500mg injection is part of the class of drugs known as monoclonal antibodies against CD20. Avoid taking this medicine if you’re sensitive to rituximab or another ingredient, are immune-compromised, or suffer from an active disease. Inform your doctor if you suffer from heart disease, failure, or breathing difficulties before starting treatment. Consult your physician if you’ve ever suffered any hepatitis B infection since the infection can reactivate in some cases and may be severe in some cases. The use of breastfeeding and pregnant women is not recommended while receiving this treatment.
The most common adverse effects of Zestmab 500mg injections include blood infections and red blood cells, a decrease in the number of dizziness, swelling of the body and face, as well as itchy skin, vomiting, more sweating, and high or low blood pressure. Make sure you are using effective contraceptives during treatment and for 12 months following the last dose if you do become pregnant. This medicine can trigger severe reactions to an infusion within 24 hours of treatment. Inform your doctor or medical professional if you experience any reactions during infusions, including increased blood pressure or chest pain, headache or breathing issues, vomiting, skin rashes, or throat swelling.
