Zolshil 4mg injection is a potent chemical Zoledronic Acid. It is part of a group of compounds known as bisphosphonates. It’s used to lower the amount of calcium in the blood of adult patients whose levels are too high due to tumours. Tumours may accelerate regular bone changes to the point where calcium absorption out of bone increases. This is known as tumor-induced high calcium (TIH). It can also be used to reduce bone problems for adult patients suffering from bone metastases and multiple myeloma caused by cancerous solid tumours (spread in cancer that extends from the original site onto the bone) in addition to conventional cancer treatment.
Zolshil 4 mg injection is also recommended to treat or prevent osteoporosis (a condition where the bones weaken and thin and can break easily) for women who have gone through menopausal changes.
